House of Wax
The movie, generally, it's rather nice. Here is a general rating for each criteria. I rate it according to candles (cos the whole show is about wax). Highest is 5 candles. For those who wanna watch the show, skip this entry instead. Here it is... :
Storyline

The 2 murderers are siamese twin brothers, Vincent & Bo. Though they get separated, half of Vincent's face was disfigured. So he had to hide in a mask made of wax.
The truth is, at the end of the show, i dun understand what is their purpose of killing. Why they kill everyone who stepped into the deserted town? One more thing i'm pondering about is that when they get separated, the doctor would have used other parts of the body's skin to cover up the face instead of letting the patient themselves to apply wax on it. Hmm... Third query is that the front half of the show has too much talking. It has no subtitles, so ended up if i din hear what they saying, i wouldn't know what they saying. So.. yah..

It can be quite bloody. I quite like the part where the girl's finger got snipped off and blood oozed out. However, at some point of the show, the color of the blood din seem convincing enough. It's too red. Agreed with my sis, Vincent cut off the leg vein of the guy from bottom (basement) using sniper was a new attack to me.

Surprise! To think that i still have a humor rating in this kinda gruesome show. Well, i would say it's a kinda "black humor" aka "Hei Se You Mo". Some parts of the show is kinda hilarious. One example i would quote is when one of the guys being made into a wax statue alive. His eyeballs were still moving around. When his friend wanted to tear off the wax for him, due to the hot wax being sprayed onto the skin, his skin was removed as well, revealing his muscles and white bones. His friend then wanted to stick back, but was knocked or what (kinda missed it) and then a huge chunk of skin dropped off. I was laughing (think a little too loud). Am i a freak? I dun think so. It's really funny what. Another part where it is funny is that Bo (the better looking twin) wanted to shoot the girl, he of cos missed it and ended up shooting a statue's head. Most part of the head was gone and bugs crawled out (due to the fact that all are human beings and brains and everything was rotten). Oh yah and the way Paris Hilton died in the show -- a metal rod went right through her head and she died kneeling.

The rating was low cos Paris Hilton was acting. Is she? There was the 'about to have sex' scene of Paris Hilton and a black guy. She strip-teased, danced in her lingerie. I reckon she must have used the push-up.
One of the guys in the show is cute (the one who had survived). He looked like Beckham. Quite cool.
Vincent's image was quite scary one. He hide his face behind the mask and looked like he has no eyeballs in the socket. And his hair was so oily that it seems that he didn't wash for more than a week!
Making of the show

The producers and the people who craved out the wax statues and buildings really deserved a pat on their shoulders. They done a good job in making all things using wax. I'm totally impressed with the building aka House of Wax (walls, spiraling stairs, bed, tables, table cloth, people in cinema etc are all wax). Very detailed and careful.
Ending of the show

The ending was just expected, everything gets melted. The whole house melts and the twins died together with the statues they murdered. Police and ambulance came (Just like hong kong movies, police siren sounded after the exciting part ended). However, i find it quite a waste to melt everything in the end. The wax thing were all nicely done. Wasted!

Sad to say i do have a bad company just 'left' beside me (my right side is my sis). Think that girl beside me is a sec sch girl. She kept on talking, not on the phone, but things like "go out of the house with him!", "use that stick lah"... blah blah.. Yah i know i also thought of that, but she need not speak her thoughts. Making me and my sis so pissed off, as if the characters can hear her talk or what..
So there it is. My comments and ratings to this show. Hope you enjoy as much as i did. :)
