Time flies isn't it? One moment we were still in uniform doing those crappish homework and cursed and swore about the teachers giving the hell out of time to torture us and now in this moment we are out in the society doing what some ppl call it, the cycle of life. Humans are the same. We're first born, then come play, then study, then work and last die. It's the 'usual' way that ppl have to go through.
Are we still alive for the sake of living or are we truly living for ourselves?
Life's been the same for me, work occupies the whole lot of me and sometimes i wonder what's the purpose of working hard. Good for me, at times my efforts were being paid off, but not for some. There's this gal friend of mine who worked truly hard and slaved for the company. However, instead of being recognised for being hardworking, she's being stuck with a name 'trying to outstand everyone for being young and efficient'. I guess her office politics were rather terrible. She tried to be nice to her colleagues, but end up being manipulated. She asked me, 'Does helping eventually turned out to be "it's what you're supposed to do"?' Words of her being suck up to director's as* spread to other departments and everyone seemed to hear from the same side of the story and condemned her. In the end, she quit. I felt happy for her quitting, for that wasn't the place for her to stay long. Well, good that she ended up in somewhere safe now. Same as me, happy and friendly colleagues surrounding her. I hope this won't end. But then, who knows?
I truly like this version of 'Memoirs of a Geisha', for it makes me laugh and not think of other matters. It differs much from the original version... well, enjoy it!

It's been long since i've blogged. I guess nothing's much in my life these days that is worth the hassle to do up the memoria for. Till last nite.
Lao Peh's birthday is coming. My sis helped bought a blood sugar test kit for him. Lao Bu and I shared the present.. came out to around $84 after trade-in with the older one.
Sis came happily back. We test the test kit. How? Test our blood sugar. I was checking out the election list on the net after watching the news then my sis volunteered to be the DIY nurse to test my blood see if the sugar level is high. It's the finger pricking test.. Usually i had my finger pricked when i go for blood donation.. now, for the sake of trying out.. or the sake of my sis's curiousity... my finger reddened with blood .. she put one drop onto the test strip and test.. ended up my blood sugar was too high for measure.. how can that be? hmm... can be error...
anyway.. took a longer time for my blood to stop flowing out... haha...
*not funny*
