Things to do on the Bus

I know, many of you have LONG BUS JOURNEY. I've experienced it during my poly days. So in order to maximise time spent on the travelling, here's some of my tips.. Coincidentally, I thought about it.. ON THE BUS!

1) Sleeping
That's a boring choice. Many has been doing it.

2) Listening to music
MP3, FM from HP, discman for those who hide in caves etc... Walkman- gosh, are you in the right time era?!

3) Checking out other's fashion trend
Here's a good one (of cos, i thought about it one mah). While travelling, you can just look at the boarders (those who board bus; alight passengers would be a-lighters?! ). Check out how they dress and perhaps trigger your mind to change into some different sense of fashion. But of cos if you're travelling with Ah Cheks and Ah Sohs better dun follow their trends, unless you want a breakout of tradition. Ha!

4) Time for Nails
Haha, yup, time for your fingernails. File, shape, polish fingernails and cut cuticles. Manicure set ain't that heavy. But i'm not sure about painting of fingernails and doing art manicure though..

5) Chat with the one next to you
Crap! In Singapore, if you initiate a chat with a passenger beside you, the person will think, "Aye, Siao ah? I noe you meh?" It may be due to our certain degree of conservative thoughts and mental block that we are not friendly towards strangers. Besides, my mum always say, "Dun talk to strangers".

6) Read a book
Kaoz, unless you wanna throw up during the journey. (I actually experienced one guy threw up on the bus. Mee goreng. Air Con Bus! The thing about air con bus is that it traps the air con in the bus. In this case, as well as the pungent smell..**Feeling very disgusted now describing it**)
For some who can tahan reading on the bus one, good for you, get a good book and finish it in one ride.

7) Mind-talking to yourself
Do you talk to yourself? Try talking to youself. Maybe about how much difference you've changed after your O levels/5yrs ago? What you want in the future? How your husband will look like? How will your sex life be? Haahaa...

8) Play with gadgets
That includes sms-ing, mobile phone games... yah...

9) Look out of the window
This can be categorised into few sections. A: Look at buildings B: Look at Cars C: Look at Road

A: Look at Buildings
Check out the infrastructure during the bus ride. Check out the meeting room of a glass building

B: Look at Cars
Check out the type of cars you fancy. For me, i check out the driver. You'll be surprised the numbers of drivers digging their nose during the Red Light Stop. Hmm, wonder where they flick it to...?!

C: Look at Road Names
Singapore is small. But some of the road names are pretty interesting. Like University Road, Lim Tua Tao Road, Flower Road, Jalan Hari Raya etc..

10) Breathe in the fresh air if it's non-air con
The purpose of Long Journey Ride being Non-Air Con (esp to tertiary institutes) is to allow passengers to breathe in FRESH AIR.
(Yah right actual fact is that students has bus concession hence not paying much hence non-aircon)

Okay lah, so much for my crap...
